Successor to the popular Pocket drive, the Rugged has an internal shock absorber that will survive a drop from nearly 1 metre! Takes power off the Firewire bus, so doesn't require a power adapter.
G-Drive mini mobile drives max out the FireWire 800 port and provide fast
data backup and instant access to large multimedia and audio/video files
while on the go. The system is bus-powered, eliminating the need to carry
a bulky external AC adapter. A built-in heat sink silently dissipates heat
to ensure maximum reliability and data integrity. Uses a Hitachi hard drive
for ultra-fast performance. Includes protective carrying case and cables.
Connected via FW800, we got Write speeds of 64 MB/s, and Read speeds of
83 MB/s.
