The Sony ECM-MSD1 camcorder stereo microphone delivers high quality stereo audio pick up while rejecting off-axis noise. The ECM-MSD1 is compact and ideal for use on compact camcorders. The microphone features 90 and 120 degree switchable pick-up patterns and features a 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo mini connector. The ECM-MDS1 is an excellent solution for improving camcorder audio and can fit any camcorder with a universal shoe mount. We've done audio testing on the range of this mic and it performed quite well. Tests are available for listening in the store.

ultra lightweight, yet rugged due to ABS construction. The VideoMic is
powered by a standard 9 Volt battery and offers a Low Battery LED status
indicator and a switchable high pass filter to reduce unwanted low frequency
rumble. The VideoMic attaches to any camcorder that has the standard
hot-shoe fitting and utilizes a stereo mini jack for audio output.
Rode makes a windsock for this mic called the Dead Cat which is just a furry sock that you can pull on right over the foam windscreen included with the mic and is easy to store in your carrying bag.
